Chestnut Ridge's Aaron Burkett scores a nearfall on Northern Lebanon's
Dustin Breidegan during the 106-pound bout. Burkett opened the match with
a pin and that was followed by three more falls from Dylan Williams, Justin McCoy,
and Luke Hobson. The Lions won the dual, 45-23, to advance to the state quarterfinals.
Notes from Thursday
- Chestnut Ridge had a 14-10 advantage on Northern Lebanon in nearfall points. Takedowns were 10-10.
- Northern Lehigh had nine, yes nine first period pins in a 72-8 romp over Archbishop Carroll.
- Wyalusing won the final bout at heavyweight to defeat Saegertown, 28-26. Wyalusing also won a key bout at 145 as Collin Edsell beat Nick Monico, 5-1. Wyalusing is a likely semifinal opponent for Chestnut Ridge provided the Lions take care of Burrell.
- Saegertown fell into the consolations, and after a probable morning win on Friday, the Panthers will draw the loser of the Boiling Springs/Brookville quarterfinal. Saegertown handed Brookville a loss at the Ultimate Duals.
