Spring's Notes on State Rankings: Again, it appears to be a battle for second place once we get to Hershey in early February. I plan to take part in a District 11 chat later tonight to inquire more info on this year's Bethlehem Catholic and Saucon Valley squads, among others, though I know Becahi is loaded and shouldn't be tested except for maybe a dual with Class AAA No. 2 ranked Nazareth. Next Saturday could go a long ways in determining many of the teams between 2 and 10. No. 2 Boiling Springs and No. 4 Bermudian Springs face off in a dual meet, while four of the top 10 now are in the Ultimate Duals in Brookville. That includes local Chestnut Ridge, who is No. 10 currently. The Lions face No. 3 Brookville, No. 6 Saegertown, and No. 7 Reynolds in that event, while Brookville and Reynolds will also wrestle there. No. 5 Fort LeBoeuf already owns a win over Saegertown and will face Reynolds in a District 10 showdown on Thursday night. Down further in the rankings, No. 12 West Branch beat No. 14 Mount Union earlier this season. A key District 6 match takes place next Tuesday between Mount Union and honorable mention Huntingdon.
