Analysis: Bedford hosts Northern Bedford on Saturday night in what could be an interesting dual. NBC was waxed by high-powered Chestnut Ridge on Thursday, 64-9, while Bedford coasted past Forest Hills, 62-9. I give Bedford the edge here at 113, 120, 132, 138, 145, and a slight edge at 182 and 285. I give Northern the edge at 106, 152, and 160. That said, the Panthers could be bumping up in the upperweights to avoid giving up a forfeit at either 195 or 220. For the visitors to pull this off, I believe they would probably need at least three wins out of four between 126, 170, 182, and 285. The Bisons will certainly be looking for bonus points from Gabriel, Easter, and Thomas to lead the way. Frankly, Toby Brett's 3-5 record at this point in the season is puzzling given his past credentials. Still, I like his chances to get a "W" against whoever Northern Bedford sends at 145.
Prediction: Bedford, 35-22.
