Chestnut Ridge coach Greg Lazor notified me of the Lions participation in next Monday's Towanda Duals.
Due to snow on Saturday, the Jarvis Tournament in Athens was postponed to this Saturday. Of course, that's also the day for Chestnut Ridge hosting rival Bedford, so the defending District 5 champions had to completely pull out of Athens, leaving them points available.
As well as host Towanda, Monday's action is expected to include Central Columbia, E.L. Meyers, Hanover Area, Western Wayne, Williamson, and Tioga, NY. Ridge does have some familiarity with Central Columbia, as the two met in a third round consolation round match at the PIAA State Duals last season. The Lions won a nailbiter, 28-27.
